Thiamine is also known as Vitamin B1 or anti-beriberi substance, Aneurin anti-neuritic factor, Thiamine Pyrophosphate (TPP), Diphosphosphothiamine (DPT).
- Thiamine was the first member of vitamin B group to be identified and hence given the name vitamin B.
